+ I have signed up to be a member of the Chamber, how long before my membership takes effect?
Your Membership is effective from the date we receive your payment
+ Is my membership fee tax deductible?
Yes Membership fees are tax deductible. You will receive a VAT receipt for your fees with your membership package. If you are paying in instalments, you will be sent an invoice confirming your payment plan, this can also be used for accounting purposes
+ What are my options for Payment?
Membership can be paid by annual Direct Debit or by credit card online
+ How do I activate my member benefits?
You will receive a welcome pack email with a full list of benefits and information on how to activate them
+ Will I be expected to pay additional fees to take advantage of these benefits?
Some of the benefits are at a cost but this is at a preferential rate given only to members of the chamber. For more information visit Business Benefits
+ How do I take advantage of the one month’s free advertising?
We will ask you for your company logo and a link to your website. Your logo will appear on the homepage of the Chamber website from the beginning of the next calendar month after your joining date
+ What does Patron status mean?
Patrons are members of the Hertfordshire business community who wish to raise their profile, support the Chamber and influence key policies and initiatives within the county and nationally

+ How can I be sure I have chosen the right package for my company?

+ How can I redeem a free event voucher, and what types of events are included?
The number of event vouchers you have depend on your level of membership. To redemm, all you need to do is tell us you would like to use your voucher and the event. The Voucher entitles you to attend any event, excluding Black Tie events, Conferences and Masterclasses.
+ Is my voucher valid for the life of my membership or there an expiry date?
The voucher is valid for a year from the date of joining. Each year you renew your vouchers will also renew.
+ How can I meet other Chamber members and network with potential new customers or suppliers for my business?
We have a wide range of networking events throughout the county. Check our events calendar or subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates
+ How can I find out who is attending an event, prior to the date?
We can't inform you prior to the event but on the day you will recieve a copy of the delegate list
+ When attending an event how do I know who else is there?
On arrival to the event we provide you with a name badge and a delegate list
+ Can you help introduce me to people at the events?
If you see someone on the delegate list that you would like to meet, we will be happy to introduce you to them
+ Do you have a database of members?
We do not supply a database due to GDPR regulations, we do have a an online directory with details of chamber members, and a Membership Directory which is available to Silver members +
+ As a Chamber member, how do I get my login details so that I can access the members' area of the website?
If you are a member, your details will be pre-registered on the website. You simply need to type in your email address and follow the prompts that follow to validate your account and set your password.
If you are not a member you can easily make an account on the website, which you will need to do to register for events.
+ As a Chamber member can I link from my website to the Herts Chamber website?
The Chamber member logo is optimised for the web in JPG or PNG format, along with the URL (web address) 150 pixels. Please email the membership team with your request
+ As a Chamber member can I include the Chamber logo on my printed literature and are there any restrictions for use?
We can provide our logo in EPS format for high quality printing on request. You may only include the Chamber logo whilst your membership is current

Membership terms and conditions
The Registration Fee is a once only payment to cover the Chamber's initial administration costs.
The Membership Subscription to a Chamber of Commerce is a tax deductible item.
Membership will be effective from the date payment is received and will cover a full twelve month period.
Members wishing to retire from the Chamber must give one months written notice.
Members will be liable to full payment of their subscription for that following year, unless one full months’ notice is received by email or letter.
Late payment of fees will incur a 4% charge over and above the bank base rate.
