The Get Connected Watford Business Expo, a one-day intensive business event designed to bring the Watford and regional business community together, will open it’s doors on the 18th November. Business people representing all categories of business from Watford, North London, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire are being invited to attend the central Watford venue at The Langley Banqueting and Conference Suite between 10am – 3pm.
The event is sponsored by Kier and CitiPark and supported by Watford Borough Council. The Council is supporting this event as part of its aim to provide the strategic lead for Watford’s sustainable economic growth. Kier are the council’s development partner on the flagship Watford Health Campus scheme and CitiPark are leading on the multi million pound facelift of three council owned car parks. The event is free to attend and offers a special opportunity for local and regional businesses to showcase themselves and generate business to business and business to consumer opportunities.
James Tribe, organiser of the Expo comments – “The Expo has an emphasis on networking, as visitors from all types of businesses from the region are being encouraged to network not only with the exhibitors but with each other throughout the event. A business classification system with badges for different business types such asRetailers, Property, IT, Financial, Services b2b, Charities etc will aid more effective networking between the attendees. We’d like to invite business people from the wider region to participate, widen their contact base and make the most of this free opportunity.”
Alongside the business exhibitors, regional business support organisations will be available to offer support, and the Procurement team from Watford Borough Council will be on hand to offer guidance on applying for Council run contracts. For those seeking employment, and companies looking to recruit, a Jobs Hub will be in place for the day.
The benefits of attending the event are said to include opportunities that arise from both casual and organised networking that will take place during the day. Businesses throughout the wider region are invited to attend and the organiser comments that “the event offers the chance to raise your profile, meet potential buyers and suppliers, exhibit at the event and learn from industry experts.”
