Legal directory Chambers & Partners has recognised VWV as an industry-leading law firm in the South East once again, retaining all of its rankings for its work throughout the region.

As a result of independent client and peer interviews, the directory ranks firms and solicitors based on the quality of their work.

Based on Clarendon Road, VWV has maintained its quality of service and expertise across three broad practice areas. Six of the firm's partners have also achieved individual rankings, highlighting their continued position as leaders in their field. In particular:

  • Both the Corporate and Real Estate teams have retained their rankings in Band 1, the highest distinction.

In the Corporate team, both Richard Phillips and Emma Cameron have retained their rankings in Band 1 and Band 3 for the fourth year running.

The four-year streak continued in the Real Estate team, with David Marsden celebrating his 40-year career with another Band 1 ranking, and Joe Kwok ranked once again at Band 4. David is described by clients as "absolutely at the top of his discipline,", while Joe is praised as being "very experienced, hardworking and knowledgeable."

  • Laura Seaman has once again been ranked in Band 2 for her work advising clients on property disputes.
  • The Employment team has also continued its steady ranking, held since 2017. Michael Delaney, who leads the team, has maintained his ranking in Band 2 with clients stating that "his counsel is always well thought through, commercially sound, practical and prudent."

Watford Office Partner Richard Phillips commented:

"The firm has grown much over the past few years and it is highly rewarding to see the results of our hard work come to fruition.

As always, our performance is spurred on by the continuous feedback and support of our clients, whose participation throughout the directory's research process is pivotal to the success of the firm's rankings, so I wish to thank our clients for their contributions towards making such achievements possible each year."
