Volunteers are still needed for the Rhythms of the World festival next weekend, July 14 and 15.
The festival is led entirely by volunteers and would not happen without the hundreds of ‘diamonds’ who given their time to the annual event.
Some 800 volunteers are needed to simply ensure the festival can happen and ensure Rhythms of the World never loses its true community spirit and family-friendly appeal.
Gill Hannington, Chair of Rhythms of the World, said: “As we move on from celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, we’re asking people to keep that spirit going and to givie something back to the community by volunteering.
"Volunteers make up our army of unsung heroes which enables Rhythms of the World to happen every year. Volunteering to help out before the festival, during festival weekend, or even de-rigging afterwards could be your chance to be part of something which we believe is great for Hitchin and North Hertfordshire.
"This is your festival and it is put on by your community, so why not be part of it.”
