On Thursday 1st October 2020, after a very difficult few months which nobody could have predicted, the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce held their virtual Grand Reveal event.

Originally supposed to take place in June of this year, the Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards (IHA) 2020 were forced to postpone due to the outbreak of Covid-19 to October 1st. However, with the virus still at large, the Chamber made a second difficult decision to postpone the awards ceremony again, this time until June 10th 2021. But with a few surprises.

Over 150 delegates, made up of sponsors, finalists and other stakeholders came together for the virtual event on October 1st to hear the big announcements that the Chamber had promised to reveal.

Revealed first of all was the new Master of Ceremonies for the event. Since the launch of IHA in 2012 this has been Steve Folland; a local freelance video and audio creator. Many thanks to Steve for his eight years of support!
It has now been revealed that for 2021, the Heart FM Hertfordshire drive-time presenter, John Darin, will be presenting the awards. Heart FM are a Patron of Herts Chamber and we are delighted to have them on board as the Media Partner for the awards.

2020 has been a very challenging year for many businesses and individuals. Throughout this

pandemic the Chamber have seen the Hertfordshire community and beyond come together to support one another in a variety of ways. And so, the second announcement of the afternoon was that a new award category has been created by the Chamber, in order to shine a light on those who have made an outstanding contribution to their community.

The Hertfordshire Heroes Award 2020 is now open for nominations of individuals, groups, or companies whom have really gone above and beyond. This category is sponsored by EasyBuild Construction Software.

More information can be found on the Chamber website.

The third and final announcement, and potentially the hardest kept secret of the year, was that for the tenth year of Inspiring Herts, the gala dinner is going to be taking place at a very magical venue; the Warner Bros. Studio in Leavesden, the home of Harry Potter!

The Chamber is delighted to be able to share this news with everybody at long last, and is very much looking forward to celebrating with all of the sponsors, judges, and finalists in June.jsa

Bookings for the Gala Dinner on 10th June are now open

We hope you will join us in finding out which of our extraordinary finalists will be awarded the winners of this years’ Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards and who will take the overall crown as Inspiring Business of the Year!
