Several businesses from the Borough of Broxbourne have been shortlisted in this year’s Inspire Hertfordshire Awards. Now on its eighth year, the ceremony continues to celebrate the expertise, achievements and outstanding contributions that businesses and individuals continually make towards the growth of Hertfordshire.

In the face of tough competition, seven businesses from the Borough managed to secure rightful places as finalists in 12 out of 19 categories.

The recognition the businesses in the Borough of Broxbourne have received from the Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards, together with the success of other local businesses continues to give great assurance for the Council’s economic growth initiative, Ambition Broxbourne. The initiative’s vision is that by 2030 the Borough will have a thriving, vibrant and prosperous economy, underpinned by innovation, enterprise and entrepreneurship.

Leader of the Council, Councillor Lewis Cocking said: “We are so very proud to have learnt of such great results within our Borough alone. We know that local business potential and ability to continue thriving is great, but we also understand that businesses face many macro challenges, which makes this level of recognition even more worthwhile.

“With inspirational achievements such as these, coupled with the support provided by the Council’s Economic Development team, we’re excited to continue witnessing business growth and success across the Borough.

“The Council would like to wish all Borough businesses the best of luck and continued success.”

The award ceremony will take place on 13 June at St Albans Cathedral.
