This weekend sees the renowned Rhythms of the World. It is the largest free festival of music in the UK and takes place in Hitchin Town Centre on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th July. Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Enjoy Hertfordshire are amongst the many sponsors this year.

Now in its 15th year, an estimated 30,000 are set to attend the festival, to see around 160 acts, involving over 700 performers, on no less than ten stages around Hitchin.

ROTW has always tried to be more than just a musical festival, and this year will be no exception. There will be world food and craft stalls, a children's area, beer tents, poetry readings, art projects and a family picnic chill out area. .

The Festival is not just about music, it is also a celebration of local and world community - a bridge between different ages, races, cultures, abilities and economic groups - A Great Day Out
