Event: British 10k London Run

Date: 10th July 2016

Teens Unite is calling all runners to take part in the British 10k London Run to help them support young people fighting cancer from across the UK.

The annual race takes place on 10th July 2016 and has rapidly become one of the most anticipated sports challenges in Teens Unite’s calendar. Last year, the Broxbourne-based charity had a team of over 70 runners take part in the race and the charity is hoping to build upon this success in 2016.

The British 10k London Run claims to have the world’s greatest road race route through the heart of the capital. Starting at Piccadilly, runners will make their way through the streets of London, passing some of the city’s most iconic landmarks along the way including Trafalgar Square, St Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament to name a few.

Debbie Pezzani, CEO and Founder, Teens Unite has said: “We look forward to the British 10k London Run every year and it has become extremely popular amongst our supporters. Local companies now enter teams, sports clubs and even some of the young people we support set themselves the challenge.

Last year we raised an incredible £17,000 from the race, which made such a difference to our work in bringing young people fighting cancer together to meet others their age in the same situation, make new friends and rebuild their confidence and self-esteem.”
