Early of the morning of the 13th March 2017, the winners of the Business of the Year 2016, Scientifica, joined the British Chambers of Commerce for the unique experience of opening trading at the London Stock Exchange as we launched the 2017 programme.
Among the guests present at this exciting event were Adrian Corbin, Managing Director of Scientifica, Adam Marshall, Director General of the BCC, Nusrat Ghani, Scientifica’s local MP, and Umerah Akram, Head of Elite UK at the London Stock Exchange.
The honour of opening trading was the prize awarded to Scientifica for winning ‘Business of the Year’ at the 2016 Annual Chamber Business Awards. Managing Director Adrian Corbin said “We have had many great days at Scientifica, but this must rank as one of the best ever. To be voted Business of the Year by the British Chambers of Commerce is an amazing achievement, and to be able to open the London Stock Exchange was the icing on the cake. We are incredibly proud of all our very talented staff whose work has been recognised by winning the award.”
Applications are now open for this year’s awards, and on the 30th November a new winner will be crowned. Not only will the winner get the opportunity to open trading at the Stock Exchange, but they also get the added prize of working with RADA for a day’s communication skills and impact course.
The Chamber Business Awards are an opportunity for businesses with something special to shout about, a story to tell, or great staff, to be showcased on a national scale. Businesses interested in winning this great prize can learn more and enter on the website www.chamberberawards.co.uk.
