A SHOWCASE event for businesses across Dacorum is returning to Shendish Manor Hotel in Apsley on October 18 and promises to be bigger and better than ever.Dacorum Showcase 2013 has been organised by Dacorum Borough Council, as part of its Dacorum Look no further campaign, to encourage growth in the local business community and to help local businesses prosper.
Councillor Andrew Williams, Leader of the Council, said: “We launched our Dacorum Look no further campaign at the first Showcase event last year. Now, a year later we are delighted that even more local companies are so keen to exhibit or to attend this year.
“It’s a great sign that businesses in Dacorum are working so hard to make their businesses succeed in a difficult climate.”
Mike Penning MP will officially open the free event, which will run from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, and said:
“Dacorum has a thriving businesses community and this is a great opportunity to get so many of them together under one roof.
”It will give them a valuable platform to network with other local companies and to identify business opportunities and partnerships in the local supply chain.”
More than 60 local businesses will exhibit at the Showcase and there will also be a dedicated Skills Arena as well opportunities to ‘Meet the MP’ and ‘Quiz the Council’.
The Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce will host a pre-opening networking lunch event from 11.30am.
