Model, actress and presenter; Casey Batchelor has become an official ambassador for the charity Teens Unite, which supports young people fighting cancer from across the UK.

Famed for her successful modelling career and appearance on Celebrity Big Brother in 2014, Casey has supported Teens Unite since she attended the charity’s fundraising gala; ‘The Opulent Tale’ in November 2015.

Lending further support, Casey recently hosted the charity’s annual Fashion Show on 18th March, which raised nearly £8,000 to help Teens Unite reach out to more young people in need of their support.

Over 2,500 teenagers a year will hear the words ‘You have cancer’ and Teens Unite is the only UK charity to provide ongoing support to 13-24 year olds from the moment they are diagnosed through to post-remission.

Co-Founded by renowned designer Karen Millen OBE in 2007, Teens Unite organises activities and workshops that bring young people fighting cancer together to make new friends, restore their confidence and self-esteem and learn new skills.

As an ambassador, Casey Batchelor will promote the charity to grow its network of supporters, raise awareness and ultimately help Teens Unite to support more young people battling the illness.

Speaking of her appointment as an ambassador; Casey Batchelor has said: “Teens Unite helps young people fighting cancer to live the happiest and fullest life possible. I’ve met some of the teenagers and young adults supported by Teens Unite and heard their inspirational stories. I’ve seen first-hand how much of a difference this charity makes and I’m honoured to be a part of it.”

Debbie Pezzani, CEO and Founder, Teens Unite has said: “We’re so pleased to welcome Casey Batchelor into the Teens Unite family. She has already shown so much commitment and dedication to the charity and this is just the start of things to come.”
