A fun-filled May Fair and Heritage Day will take place in Hoddesdon town centre, on Saturday 11 May, between 11am and 5pm.
A wide range of activities will be on offer throughout the day, for the whole family to enjoy. There will be traditional craft and charity stalls selling personalised items, homeware, children’s clothes, flowers, books, garden accessories and more.
As well as children’s rides, face painting, and arts and crafts, there will also be performances by local college students, dance groups and performers throughout the day, and a selection of heritage vehicles on display.
There will be an organised heritage walk at 10.30am in which visitors will be able to gain the knowledge and history of the town. There will be a small suggested charge of £2.50 per person, which will be donated to the Friends of Lowewood Museum Group. Details can also be found at: www.lovehoddesdon.co.uk.
This year will celebrate free vintage bus tours of the area. Members of the public are invited to join the bus tours outside the Library for a trip around Hoddesdon. The first tour will commence at 11am. St Catherine’s and St Paul’s Church will also be open to visitors to learn about the hisotical memorials and artefacts.
