George Hay Chartered Accountants, who have offices in Letchworth, Biggleswade and Huntingdon, are pleased to have made a donation of 80 Easter Eggs to Home-Start Herts, this month.
This comes as the local accountants continue to mark 80 years since their Biggleswade office was first established, back in 1939.
Liz Le Coze, Fundraising Support Officer at Home-Start Herts, visited George Hay’s Letchworth office, earlier on in the month, to collect the donation.
The donation was presented by Marketing Manager at George Hay, Ashleigh Coombes and Nicola Lamb, a member of the secretarial team, who also previously volunteered for the Hertfordshire-based charity.
Home-Start Herts is one of a network of 215 local, independent Home-Starts that work with around 28,000 families in communities right across the country.
They help families, with young children, to deal with the challenges that they face and support parents as they learn to cope, improve their confidence and build better lives for their children.
Upon receiving the donation, Liz said: “We are extremely grateful to George Hay for the donation of Easter Eggs.”
“It is these donations, from the local community and businesses, that give children who might otherwise go without the opportunity to experience the excitement of Easter!”
“The eggs will be distributed to the families and children that we work with, throughout Hertfordshire, and I know they will certainly put smiles on faces!”
