The Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards held on 8 June was, in a sense, a transition from the impressive Porsche Centre Hatfield, our previous venue, to St Albans Cathedral.

Both venues inspire people to glorious heights, for different reasons. The 2017 Awards ceremony was testimony to such inspiration, something to which Alex Bottom (Hillier Hopkins Chartered Accountants, headline sponsor) alluded in his opening address.

Yolanda Rugg, Chief Executive: Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce, said

“Winner or finalist; the lengths to which organisations go to achieve a goal, an exceptional result or an extraordinary outcome for the business or its community is in evidence in every entry, including those that weren’t shortlisted.”

Karen Winrow, Business Development Manager: Hillier Hopkins LLP, said

“On behalf of everyone at Hillier Hopkins, I would like to say a huge thank you to Herts Chamber for bringing us the Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards and giving us the opportunity to be involved as headline sponsors. It lived up to it's name and was a truly inspiring night. In the magnificant setting of St Albans Cathedral, it was a showcase of the outstanding businesses and individals in our county and a celebration of the positive contribution they make to our community and economy. Congratulations to all the winners and finalists and thanks to all the sponsors and everyone involved for making the awards such a success".
