Judge Rinder helps Watford accountancy firm Hillier Hopkins raise £10K for local carriage
driving charity.
On Friday 12th May 2017, UK Top 50 regional accountancy firm Hillier Hopkins LLP hosted a charity lunch at Watford Football Club on Vicarage Road in support of their 2017 chosen charity Waverley Driving Group.
Guests were treated to a champagne reception, a three course lunch and comedy from Lee Lard, as well as a raffle and auction. There was also a special guest in attendance, Judge Rinder of Strictly Come Dancing and TV fame, who gave a very moving speech.
Waverley Driving Group are a Radlett based group of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), who give disabled people the opportunity to carriage drive to benefit their health & wellbeing. 
Through the charity lunch and a golf day that was held in April at Porters Park Golf Club, a total of £10,510 was raised for the charity.
Director of the charity Maureen Keegan said the following: "On behalf of Waverley Driving Group I'd like to thank you so much for the superb event you hosted for our benefit last Friday. I can't begin to say how much the proceeds will mean to the Group, we have never before had such an amazing opportunity to take the Group forward. It will mean so much to so many people."
