Hertfordshire LEP will be engaging with businesses, local authorities and other partners in a number of Growth Area Forums to identify priorities including strategic development sites and gaps in infrastructure provision that will be championed by the LEP to unlock private sector investment and job creation.

The A10/M11 corridor has considerable economic potential with strong workforce growth, high rates of entrepreneurship, a large number of knowledge-based industries and excellent transport links.

The proposed Crossrail 2 is set to extend into this Growth Area and support economic regeneration by providing the infrastructure needed to build new homes and create new jobs. But the area faces significant challenges too with marked differences in economic growth rates and high levels of out-commuting of its highly qualified and skilled residents.

Key Speakers

Daniel Moylan: Transport for London Board Member and non-executive director of Crossrail Limited,
will be outlining the opportunities and economic benefits this vital link will bring to the A10/M11 Growth Area.

Chris Wiggan: Head of External Affairs, London Stansted Airport, on Stansted’s growth plans and
the economic opportunities this will create.

Claire Ruskin: Chief Executive, Cambridge Network Ltd, on the growth of Cambridge and its impact on Hertfordshire.

We invite business leaders in the A10/M11 corridor to share your views on the opportunities and potential barriers to unlocking future growth and help shape Hertfordshire LEP’s future priorities for this vital corridor.
