Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Rayner Essex Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers are to join forces to survey local businesses and in so doing provide useful strategic information for businesses in/or planning to do business in the county.
The survey will draw upon feedback from Chamber members and the clients of Rayner Essex in an attempt to capture information ranging from economic outlook, obstacles to growth, local issues and wider economic pressures.
The findings of the survey will be announced at a conference and will also be available from both organisations.
Commenting on the announcement of the joint survey Rayner Essex Partner Antony Federer said:
“At a time of business uncertainty good strategic planning information is an essential pre-requisite to astute leadership. Information is sometimes hard to obtain and this survey should prove to be useful to local business.”
Speaking on behalf of Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce Tim Hutchings said:
“Hertfordshire has a distinctive mix of businesses and is often seen as an extension of London or somewhat consumed by wider geographic groupings. As such information for the county is relatively unfocused, we are therefore delighted to Partner with Rayner Essex to help fill this gap.”
The survey will be based around semi-structured personal interviews performed via telephone. Respondents will have an opportunity to feedback qualitative information and as such it is hoped that the survey should capture a wide range of views. Calls will shortly commence, with the findings to be shared in early July.
