A free “lifeline” is being offered to Hertfordshire firms to help them kickstart their marketing and communicate their messages amid the coronavirus outbreak.
County PR and communications agency Strand PR has been celebrating the efforts of businesses which have shone in adversity, helping them to survive and thrive by sharing their examples of innovation during the COVID-19 lockdown.
And now Strand is volunteering to help other companies and self-employed people through a new helpline where its team will offer advice about communicating during the crisis.
Businesses can book a 15-minute phone call, which will cover how to let customers know what changes have been made to business practices as well as marketing tips.
Strand PR, based in Cokenach Estate, Barkway, works with small businesses and large companies, with clients including a bank, accountancy and personal finance firms as well as retail and hospitality companies.
Laura Pearce, Managing Director of Strand PR, said: “Since the start of the coronavirus outbreak, we’ve been working round the clock with our clients to ensure their customers are kept up to date about what is happening and how they might be affected.
“This new helpline will provide a lifetime to companies and self-employed people unsure how to communicate during this unprecedented time. We have applied a clear and simple formula to help get messages across and so far, it has worked. It’s now time to give something back to the Hertfordshire business community with this free support.”
The firm has recently achieved widespread coverage for client Ogle, a Letchworth-based model and prototyping firm, which joined the fight against coronavirus by pledging support to build ventilators for the NHS.
Additionally, Strand told the story of how The Fox and Duck, in Therfield, will stage Hertfordshire’s first online cooking demonstration. Thanks to Strand’s efforts, the media, including the Telegraph, reported how the landlord will hold a gastropub cookalong so people can recreate his award-winning food in their own kitchens.
Strand has also secured comprehensive coverage for Hitchin-based bookkeeping and payroll specialists Modina. Its Managing Director Sharon Mordecai said: “We cannot thank Strand PR enough for the help and support that have provided us with during the COVID-19 crises. Like the rest of the world we were in a situation that nobody has ever experienced and it was vital that we communicated with all of our clients very quickly to reassure them.
“Strand have handled all of our communications to our clients is a fast, imaginative and professional manner. Many of our clients have contacted to say how impressed they have been and to thank us for the information we have been regularly providing.
Thank you so much for helping us through this incredibly difficult time.”
