Top 20 accountancy firm, Wilkins Kennedy’s Hertford office, has been cooking up a storm with its recent ‘Bake Off’ style competition in aid of Breast Cancer Care, raising a total of £90.
On Monday 19th October, Partners and staff at the firm were asked to anonymously submit cakes for judging and each entrant paid a £2 donation to the charity.
There were five accepted entries which were judged by Hertford employees Joe Waters and Joyce Jones. The criteria were simple: All cakes must include the colour pink, the cake must have a name, and, most importantly, after the judging, all of the cakes could be eaten by staff – along with a donation for everything that was eaten, of course.
The winner of the Bake Off competition was Barbara Gregoriou with her “Pinks in Mud” cake of triple chocolate fudge topped with chocolate ganache – and pink fondant swimming pigs. Runners up were Emma King with “The Doughnut” and Amanda Fletcher with “Bake On!”
Adam Anstey, Partner at Wilkins Kennedy Hertford, said: “Well done to all our entries in this year’s Bake Off. The competition standards were even higher than previous years and the level of detail and effort put in by the entries was very impressive. Thanks to everyone who entered and to all who donated on the day towards our total.”
