This year's Dacorum Excellence Awards are set to be the biggest and best yet. Hosted at the recently refurbished Shendish Manor, the black tie ceremony will celebrate the best of the borough. The awards, held in October, seek to highlight the triumphs of the local business community and celebrate the area's sports, youth and community talent.
Rachel Boxall, Area Director for West Herts said 'This is a great opportunity for local businesses and groups to get involved and raise their profile. Dacorum is packed full of diverse and interesting companies, many of whom are achieving amazing things. Here is a chance for these successes to be highlighted and applauded. The awards are prestigious and this year should be really exciting and extra special as we have the opportunity to celebrate the combined talents of business, community and sport'.
Companies can put forward their name in five categories: Business of the Year, Most Promising New Business, Community Business of the Year, Team of the Year and Environmental or Innovation. The Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce is supporting these awards through sponsorship of the Business of the Year Award. The awards are also supported by the Hemel Gazette and Dacorum Borough Council and other local companies, including BP. Entry is free and these awards are open to businesses, organisations and individuals who live or work in Dacorum. All entries must be received by August 30. Judging will take place in September and the winners will be announced on the night of the awards on Friday, October 24.
