The catering team atKnebworth House has taken its inspiration – and its ingredients – from the kitchen gardens within the estate.
So, guests attending meetings, conferences or events at the venue will be served the freshest seasonal produce picked just hours before their arrival.
The new autumn day delegate package includes breakfast of mini bacon rolls, fruit salad and warm porridge and a hot or cold buffet lunch which will vary according to the home grown produce available.
Dishes will include antipasti along with vegetarian tarts and salads featuring home grown leaves and vegetables.
Fruit from the orchards, tomatoes from the greenhouses and onions from the vegetable plot have been preserved in chutneys and sauces while soups will reflect whichever vegetables and herbs have been picked that morning.
Lunch will then be rounded off with dessert, while homemade cakes, ice cream, tea and coffee will be served mid-afternoon.
“We are incredibly lucky to have our pick of the freshest and best produce, grown by our superb gardeners,” said Jenna Bateman, sales and marketing manager at Knebworth House.
“It means the menu really reflects the seasons and our chefs thoroughly enjoy the spontaneity and creativity that comes with being able to pick your produce as and when you need it.”
The Day Delegate package also includes venue hire, stationary, PA system, free Wifi and parking and costs £45 per person based on a minimum of 40 guests.
