Harpenden Child Contact Centre have been presented with £4405.16 – the fruits of annual fundraising by St Albans’ own Rayden Solicitors.
The Staff at the firm vote each year for their chosen charity, and throughout the year hold a variety of fundraising events including their now legendary annual Quiz night.
The Harpenden Child Contact Centre provides a neutral meeting place where children of separated families may enjoy contact with one or both parents, and sometimes with other family members, in a comfortable, friendly and safe environment.
Tony Gilbert, Trustee of Harpenden Child Contact Centre said “We were absolutely delighted when we heard that Raydens had chosen Harpenden Child Contact Centre as their Charity of the Year for 2015. They have pulled out all the stops ever since then to raise what is a really significant amount of money for a small, local charity like ours. Thanks to their tremendous efforts, the Centre can plan for the future with confidence, knowing that we have the resources we need to provide a service that makes such a difference to the children and parents who come to us on a Saturday afternoon.”
Katherine Rayden said: ‘We have been delighted to work with the Harpenden Child Contact Centre. The charity’s service is invaluable for children who are experiencing challenging times and we have been staggered by the commitment of everyone involved, all of whom are volunteers.’
