The Legal 500 rankings have been released for their UK 2020 guide with Longmores achieving rankings for five of its practice areas and eleven of its solicitors.  It is a great set of results for the firm in the year that it is celebrating its 200th anniversary.

The Employment team achieved a tier 2 ranking and individual mentions for Richard Gvero, Head of Commercial and Employment and Joint Senior Partner, alongside solicitors Miranda Mulligan and Jennifer Mansoor making their first appearances in the guide.  A client testimonial says, “The team stand out for their unswerving commitment to getting the best outcome for their clients, and the creative approach they take to resolving their clients' employment issues”.

Private Client also achieved a tier 2 ranking with individual mentions for Richard Horwood, Partner, and Alastair Liddiard, Senior Solicitor – also his first appearance in The Legal 500.  The department is described as “particularly experienced in advice on inheritance tax and associated taxation consequences, including the creation and administration of lifetime trusts”. 

Company Commercial has been ranked in tier 3 with the team described as “strongly experienced, personable and client-focused".  Partner, Rina Sond, is credited as "outstanding, her commitment and dedication shines through" and Senior Solicitor, Agata Rumbelow is also mentioned.

Dispute Resolution has been ranked in tier 4 with recommendations for Partner and Head of Practice Area, John Wiblin, and Senior Solicitor, John Wagstaffe.  A testimonial says, “John Wiblin has not only expertise in law but also a commercially pragmatic approach”.  John Wagstaffe and Nat Young, who joined the firm in July, are both listed as rising stars.

The Commercial Property team have been ranked in tier 4 with a mention for Rachael Spalton who heads up the practice area which “acts for a wide range of clients from the public and the private sector” and “is experienced in rural/strategic land sales with options and overage provisions and promotion agreements”.  Victoria Sandberg, a partner specialising in rural is also cited for her expertise in rural affairs.  A testimonial states that "Rachael Spalton and Victoria Sandberg always provide sound advice and are not only alert to potential problems but also to possible solutions”.
