Innovation needs to be nurtured from idea, through proof-of-market and proof-of-concept development of prototype and and proof-of-market. As Head of Contracts and Intellectual Property at Rothamsted Research, Richard Nugent advises scientists on the legal aspects related to joint R&D projects and on the opportunities for protection of IP and commercialisation of scientific know-how. Christian Bunke has experience as a attorney in Sweden and with an MBA from Judge Business School, has advised start-ups in the UK and abroad on the commercialisation of disruptive technologies. Tim Norris, Partner at BASCK Ltd, is a qualified European Patent Attorney with more than 15 years of experience in IP strategy in a range of sectors.

This workshop will give an overview of how to leverage multiple sources of funding for innovation and growth in the green industry. As Business Innovation Manager for InCrops Enterprise Hub, Bianca Forte provides consultancy and business development to SME's in the bioenergy and biofuels and agri-biotech sectors, includi9ng on the development of collaborations with academic organisations. In his position as Founder and Managing Director of BASCK Ltd, Christian Bunke has built businesses and commercialised new technology through a number of start-ups and has experience with fund raising for innovative companies.
