InCrops, Rothamsted Research and the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry have teamed up to run a series of workshops for aspiring entrepreneurs, start-ups businesses and Small and Medium-size Enterprises in the bio-renewables and agri-biotech sectors. Join us to learn about the key aspects involved with setting up and running and increasing your chances of creating a successful business.

MORNING SESSION: GETTING STARTED

This workshop will cover the basic processes involved with setting up and running a business. Mel Hilbrown has BA and MBA qualifications and 20 years sales & marketing experience. After 12 years as Managing Director of a niche catalogue sales & contract furnishing business based in Hertfordshire, he became the Director of the St Albans Enterprise Agency in 2004 and has since been offering training and coaching to start-ups and small businesses in a range of sectors.

Dawn Wills, Owner at Decisions Marketing, has over 18 years of experience advising businesses on how to a use creative mix of communication and planning tools to attract new customers and retain existing ones. Sally Taylor, Director of Environmental Population Ltd, has over 20 years of experience in marketing, particularly in using networking events, sector specific publications and PR initiatives to help establish and grow competitive businesses in the green industry.
