Robert Stewart, Founder of Stevenage Packaging Ltd & Chairman of The Stevenage Community trust will be spending his 50th Birthday on Wednesday 8th April 2015 cycling 50 miles, along with his son, Callum Stewart, who turns 25, this year to celebrate the Stevenage Community Trust 25th Anniversary.

Robert & Callum Stewart will be leaving their home in Cambridge City Centre at 6.30am & aim to arrive in Mr Stewart’s childhood town & workplace, Stevenage, at the Stevenage Borough Council offices for 9.30am where 25 years ago, Hilda Lawrence, Mayor of Stevenage, founded the Stevenage Community Trust.

This story comes with a twist… they will be completing the 50 mile round trip on an old tandem bike.

The picture of the bike below, outside Senate House, Kings Parade, Cambridge, is before the tandem bike has been re-sprayed white with the multi-coloured Stevenage Community Trust logo, the same treatment will also apply to the Mini that is pictured to help promote this event & the 25th anniversary year.

Once they have completed a day’s work, they will depart Stevenage to arrive back in the City Centre of Cambridge.

For every £25.00 you donated, you will be given a number, tickets will be drawn with these numbers on, on the arrival at Stevenage Council Offices by the Mayor, Sherma Batson MBE DL CC (TBC) & one lucky donor will win £1,000.00.

Robert & Callum Stewart along with Sarah Marks of Stevenage Packaging Ltd, who is running the Barcelona Marathon on Sunday 15th March aim to raise a record breaking £25,000 to celebrate the 25th anniversary year, with every penny of funds raised being granted to those in need within the community this year.
