Tailored adviser supportYour organisation will receive two half-days of business support for each year of Excellence membership. During these sessions one of our expert advisers will work with you to address issues relevant to your specific needs. For example, they might give your organisation an IiP pre-assessment health check, or help you to devise a solution to a known problem. Once you have used up your free half-days, you will be eligible for a discount on all further adviser support.
Training needs analysisGiven the crucial role that managers play, and the high cost of their time, you need to know the exact areas in which they need development. Training needs analysis (TNA) will pinpoint your managers’ knowledge and skills gaps, comparing their performance with the level the organisation really requires. We will give your organisation a TNA for up to ten managers for each year of Excellence membership.
Workshops and seminarsYour organisation is entitled to five free delegate places on a range of valuable core workshops and seminars for each year of Excellence membership. Some of these relate directly to IiP, while others deal more widely with the development of people, skills and winning attitudes. Online resource library for advice and checklistsExcellence membership gives your organisation’s access to an extensive online library of resource documents on HR issues. Here are just a few of the subjects covered: · Staff recruitment – including equal opportunities, avoiding discrimination, attracting good candidates, selecting the right person, and contracts of employment. · Managing staff – including flexible working, trade unions, maternity and paternity leave, avoiding constructive dismissal claims, absenteeism, sexual harassment complaints and prevention, managing change, staff appraisal, health and safety, and training and development. · Managing leavers – including dealing with resignations, dismissals, redundancy, employee references and final payments.
Online portfolio of HR templates Excellence members will be able to download our range of useful HR templates, including job descriptions, appraisal forms, training evaluation forms, equal opportunities policies, competency frameworks and many more.
Quarterly e-zinesWe will send Excellence members our regular quarterly e-zine covering issues of interest and importance to HR managers.
Monthly e-alertsAll Excellence members will receive monthly e-alerts to keep them up to date with any changes to HR and employment legislation. Networking for success Meeting and mixing with like-minded people in other organisations can benefit you and your managers in many ways. As a member of Excellence, you will receive invitations to a number of key networking events throughout the year. Talking to your peers about their HR policies and experiences will reinforce your learning, and spark ideas. Moreover, you may strike up profitable business relationships with other attendees. Leadership and management training As a member of Excellence, you can take advantage – at preferential rate – of the excellent line-up of leadership and management courses that we run for organisations committed to developing their employees. We can offer you anything from a half-day training course to a full programme of support, featuring: · training tailored to the specific needs of your organisation and your delegates· assessment of competence to ensure that your delegates go on to implement their learning in the workplace and that successful delegates receive a nationally recognised qualification. Through training with us, your managers can gain accredited management qualifications from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the Institute of Customer Service (ICS), HR related qualifications and awards from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and degree qualifications from the University of Hertfordshire (UH). We are also one of the few CMI and CIPD assessment centres to offer “paperless” assessment for National Vocation Qualifications (NVQs). Rather than requiring candidates to gather and present their own evidence of competency in paper form, our assessors gather evidence visually and aurally at one-to-one meetings, recording the proceedings on tape to ensure that the quality requirements are met.
