With approximately 29 million euros of funding becoming available to bid for this year in 2012/13 under Lifelong Learning (LLL) Programmes, EU Connects is keen to do all we can to ensure potential project applicants are equipped to make the most of these final calls for the 2007-13 period.

The Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) provides opportunities for organisations, staff and learners involved in education and training across Europe to work together, learn from each others' expertise, and widen their experience of other cultures and languages.

The work undertaken through projects funded by the LLP is also helping to develop and shape the education and training landscape in the UK.

Funded by the European Commission, the LLP supports a wide range of education and training activities across Europe and provides opportunities for all stages of lifelong learning. In the UK thousands of projects are funded each year.

The LLP is made up of several programmes, each aimed at a specific target group, the seminar in the 23rd October will focus on the following strands:

*    Vocational Education and Training - Leonardo

*    Adult Education (non vocational) - Grundtvig

*    Learning professionals - Transversal

This EU Connects seminar is aimed at those looking to submit an application under the upcoming LLL programme deadlines. The workshop is being organised in close collaboration with ECORYS, the UK National Agency for the programmes who will be there to meet you on the day.

The workshop session will focus in particular on Leonardo Mobility and Leonardo Partnership applications, taking a closer look at the process, the application forms and any top tips for participants. You will most importantly have the opportunity to ask any questions and discuss any issues before your project submission.

For anyone not looking at these particular strands but interested in another strand of Leonardo, Grundtvig or Transversal within LLL ; there will be the opportunity of a one to one project surgery to progress and discuss any issues in relation to your application. You will be asked to notify us of your particular area of interest in advance.

For your information, the last year's quick guide to LLL is available here for an overview of the various funding strands. Please do note however, whilst the opportunities for 2012/13 remain largely the same, this is the guide for 2011/12 and not 2012/13
