The final in a long and successful programme of free business events will be held on Tuesday 17 April, 7.30am at the iconic location of Knebworth House.

The Business Breakfast event enables delegates to enjoy a cooked breakfast, hear about London 2012 contract opportunities, consider how to get their business prepared for the Games with experts from Deloitte, meet local young talented athletes, find out about Hertfordshire’s Olympic venue - the Lee Valley White Water Centre - and network with other local business people.

For the final event Hertfordshire is Ready for Winners have pushed the boat out and have two inspiring and motivating keynote speakers lined up. Olympian Mark Richardson, who won a bronze medal in Barcelona (1992) and silver in Atlanta (1996) both in the 4x400m relay, and Paralympian Danny Crates, the T46 arm amputee 2004 Paralympic Champion, will combine with other speakers to inspire local businesses to get themselves ready for the London 2012 Games.

These award-winning events have been promoting contract opportunities from the Games in Hertfordshire through the CompeteFor portal and have contributed to Hertfordshire’s number one position in the region for business registered on the portal.

Chairman of the Hertfordshire is Ready for Winners Board, Derrick Ashley, said: “Hertfordshire is still in pole position in the region for businesses signed up to CompeteFor. For those local businesses thinking that the Olympics won’t affect them this event is a must attend, with inspiring speakers to offer help and advice. Now that 2012 is here it really is the time for Hertfordshire businesses to grab the opportunities that the Olympics is bringing to the county.”
