Event:Teens Unite Quiz Night
Where:Wormley Football Club
With just two weeks to go until Teens Unite’s overseas cycling challenge in Cuba, the charity held a quiz night at Wormley Football Club to raise as much sponsorship for the trip as possible.
With eight teams taking part, the quiz night was an opportunity for local supporters, families and businesses to come together for a worthy cause.
On 15th October, a group of 15 cyclists will be travelling a distance of 350km at handlebar level across the Caribbean island in just five days. The group will be led by Teens Unite’s CEO and Founder, Debbie Pezzani who has been training hard for the event.
She said “With just 14 days to go now until we head to Cuba, we wanted to raise as much sponsorship money as we possibly could before the trip. I think everyone is feeling a mixture of nerves and excitement- it will be an incredible experience and one that we will remember forever.
Cycles like this are a fantastic way of encouraging supporters to raise as much money and awareness for the charity as we can. They push you to the limit and make you really challenge yourself.”
The quiz night raised an incredible £600.
Debbie said “The quiz night was a huge success. I would like to thank all of them teams that took part, Wormley Football Club for kindly donating the venue free of charge, our quiz host Michael Penney and Tesco, Cheshunt for kindly donating some bread and cheese for our ploughman’s at part time.”
