St Albans entrepreneur Katherine Rayden will compete against former Dragon’s Den star James Caan in the prestigious British Chambers of Commerce business awards finals.

Katherine Rayden, founder of Rayden Solicitors won the East of England’s Outstanding Personal Achievement Award for 2013 and has now been shortlisted for the national finals in the Outstanding Personal Achievement category. In addition, her innovative “Hot on Family Law” campaign has been shortlisted in the Best Marketing category. Of a record four Hertfordshire finalists, Rayden Solicitors represent two.

Katherine said: “I was thrilled to win Hertfordshire Entrepreneur of the Year and am overwhelmed to have won East of England’s Regional Outstanding Personal Achievement Award for 2013.  To discover that we are the only finalists to appear in two categories is amazing and concludes a very exciting and successful year for the firm and I look forward to representing Herts Chamber of Commerce at the National Awards ceremony.”

Over 60 UK businesses have been chosen from the hundreds of entries received to represent their region at the national final. The eight national winners will be announced at the 10th illustrious Chamber Awards Ceremony, hosted by British Athletics Colin Jackson CBE on 28 November at the prestigious Brewery in London. One deserving winner will walk away with a £25,000 cash prize courtesy of the RBS Group.

Katherine Rayden set up Rayden Solicitors in 2005 when the youngest of her three children was just nine months old, having established a successful career in the City.
