Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce & Industry has announced that its long serving Chief Executive, Tim Hutchings, is to stand down at the end of the year.

Chamber Chairman, Neville Reyner, commented ‘Tim has made an outstanding contribution to the Chamber of Commerce movement in the UK and to the Hertfordshire Chamber in particular. Under his leadership we have moved from being one of the countries smallest Chambers to being one of the most influential Accredited Chambers in the UK. We have a sound financial base and an active membership, I look forward to building upon Tim’s legacy as the Chamber continues to move from strength to strength’

‘Yolanda Rugg will take up the role of Acting CEO and I am confident that this Accredited Chamber of Commerce for Hertfordshire will continue to move from strength to strength meeting the challenges ahead with the efforts of its staff and supported by the Board of Directors’.

Tim Hutchings said, ’I am extremely proud of the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the support it provides for businesses in the county, it does a tremendous amount of great work on their behalf. After 18 years I think it is time for someone else to take over and I look forward to taking the opportunity of fulfilling a number of other personal ambitions. Before departing I would like to thank the enormous amount of people who have helped and supported me and the Chamber of the years they really have made my time here tremendously rewarding and enjoyable’.

Tim Hutchings stands down from the Hertfordshire Chamber as the UKs longest serving Chief Executive of an Accredited Chamber having joined HCCI in November 1994.
