Stars from Cariad Marketing were the proud winners of two awards at the recent SME Hertfordshire Awards! Cariad’s MD Justine Perry won the Business Person of the Year Award. One of her principal commitments as a business owner is to support young people by offering apprenticeships, and this year’s apprentice, Rory Welch, was crowned Apprentice of the Year.

Justine said: “I’m beyond thrilled to have my own achievements recognised in this way. It’s a great validation of my ethos and business model as well as the success of my company. I have some very exciting plans for Cariad’s future and am looking forward to what happens next.”

The Cariad management team secretly nominated Rory for the Apprentice of the Year; he had no idea he was even up for an award until he was shortlisted. He was very happy with his win, albeit a bit shocked: “I couldn’t believe it! I’m still not sure if it’s sunk in yet, but Mum and Dad were over the moon when I told them.”

Thanks to their wins, both Rory and Justine are automatically through to the finals of the SME National Awards to be held at Wembley Stadium in December.

2018 has so far proved an exceedingly good year for Cariad, and these are the third and fourth major business awards the company has added to its trophy cabinet… so far!
