Earlier today the team at Hertford-based Cariad Marketing handed a cheque for over £11,000 to Isabel Hospice.

Cariad celebrated its 10th anniversary year in 2019, and the team decided to challenge itself to raising at least £10k for the Hospice. The year was filled with activities organised by individual team members as well as a glamorous Drag Bingo night and auction that brought the entire team together. Other fundraising activities included Quiz Nights, a poetry competition, a self-defence workshop, sponsored steps and dog walks.

Cariad’s founder and MD, Justine Perry, was delighted with her team’s efforts. “Everyone knows that Isabel Hospice is very close to my heart and I’m forever grateful for the support they gave me and my late husband, Steve, after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Over the years, Team Cariad has been involved in some great fundraising activities, but nothing as ambitious as raising £10K in a single year! It was only when we were in the initial planning stages that the realisation of what a huge task we’d set ourselves hit me, but as the year went on and more team members came up with some cracking ideas, I knew we’d do it. And in fact we achieved the £10K mark with a month to spare!”

Adam Brockett, Isabel Hospice’s Head of Community & Events said: “We feel privileged to care for local people like Justine’s husband Steve. The support from Cariad Marketing over the years has been amazing, and their commitment to supporting the work of the Hospice has been an inspiration. £11,000 will cover the cost of 48 hours care at our In-Patient Unit – what a gift. Thank you!”
