Press Release (9am 12.12.2005)
Following yesterday’s explosion at the Buncefield Fuel Storage site Business Link Hertfordshire and the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce & Industry have established a support line on 01727 813435 for effected businesses. The line will enable businesses to access news as it breaks and to provide a signpost to a team of business advisers who will be able to advise businesses on a range of issues including employment, finance and business recovery. In relation to ongoing news the Chamber web site www.hertschamber.com will post updates as they are received.
Tim Hutchings, Chamber Chief Executive said,” Many companies will have already initiated their disaster recovery plans but the scale of this incident is far greater than most will have envisaged. Whilst at present we are still unable to give sufficient news to enable companies to fully plan the timescale of their recovery we are anxious to ensure that as soon as it becomes available they have access to it”. “Smaller companies will face a whole range of challenges but I am sure that with the support of Business Link Hertfordshire the impact can be reduced and they can be back trading as soon as possible” Businesses can also register to receive regular news updates on email@example.com
