Broomfield Youth aim is to make change and impact the amazing children at our club.

Each year Broomfield Youth involve their children in charitable projects to educate, empower and inspire them to understand the benefits of helping others through selfless acts and one of these is Light Up Africa.

Light in Africa was founded by Mama Lynn. An elderly lady with a teenagers mind and energy, Mama Lynn left Grimsby, England 13 years ago to provide for the children of Tanzania. Her journey took her to the lower ends of Kilimanjaro where she started caring for the orphans left homeless due to poverty, malnutrition or spiritual beliefs. To date, Mama Lynn and her staff care for over 250 children across Tanzania. Visit for more info.

The overwhelming experience of visiting Tanzania in 2013 led to the Broomfield Youth Staff wanting to make a difference. The difference was clear, a brand new 64 bed boys home! The target to be raised has been set at £40,000 for the full completion of the home that will allow these special children the opportunity and hope of a better future.
