The Broxbourne Health Walks group is seeking more volunteers to lead walks.

People who step up to lead walkers on routes in the Borough will help others get active as part of the nationwide Walking for Health initiative. The scheme aims to improve health and happiness with free, short and easy walks.

Outings take place across the Borough, including at two of its Green Flag award winning green spaces, Cheshunt Park and Cedars Park.

Broxbourne Council’s Community Development team is recruiting for its existing walks in the area and a free county-wide walk leader training day will be held on Monday 13 March in Hertford from 9.45am to 3pm.

No previous experience is required, just a friendly nature and the availability to lead on a regular basis.

To find out more about becoming a health walk leader, or to book a place on the training, please contact Matt Ridley, Sport Development Officer at the Council, on 01992 785555 or email matthew.ridley@broxbourne.gov.uk
