On 20th November, Teens Unite held its annual fundraising gala. This year’s event, aptly named ‘An Opulent Tale’ took place at the prestigious Banking Hall, London where the charity entertained over 250 guests.
The evening was designed and directed by Teens Unite’s Co-Founder, Karen Millen OBE who created a glamorous 1930’s setting. Ambassador of the charity and TV and radio presenter, Sarah-Jane Crawford hosted the event, which included a performance from one of the most stunning voices in the industry; Rebecca Ferguson and a DJ set from Made in Chelsea’s Alex Mytton.
The event raised an incredible £86,000 which will help Teens Unite significantly to reach out to more young people with cancer from across the UK by working with them to overcome the social, emotional and sometimes physical effects a diagnosis can leave behind.
A host of VIP guests arrived on the red carpet including Katie Piper, model Casey Batchelor, TV presenter Adrian Chiles, Made in Chelsea stars Jessica Woodley, Georgia Toffolo, Ashley James and Emma Walsh, cricketer Mark Ramprakash, rugby player Lewis Moody, Big Brother star Nikki Grahame and X Factor stars Chloe Paige, Jordi Whitworth and Jake Sims.
Debbie Pezzani, CEO and Founder, Teens Unite has said: “An Opulent Tale far exceeded our expectations. It was a wonderful evening and it was a pleasure to have so many of our valued supporters in the room along with new faces who were there to support the charity.
We would like to thank all of those who made the evening such a success. We are already planning next year’s event, so watch this space.”
