Aitchison Raffety has been appointed by St Albans City and District Council as the sole commercial property agent on a high quality, mixed-use development that is expected to transform St Albans city centre, Hertfordshire.

The project forms the south part of St Albans City and District Council Civic Centre Opportunities Site (CCOS) redevelopment.  It comprises approximately 56,770 sq ft (5,274 sq m) of commercial office and retail space on ground and first floors, with circa 100 new residential units above either side of a new thoroughfare between Victoria Street and the Alban Arena on Civic Close.  The development will replace many of the dated 1960s buildings including the old police  station and buildings to the rear.

Matthew Bowen, Director within Aitchison Raffety’s Commercial Agency team, commented “We are thrilled to be instructed on such a high-profile development and to be working with the Council to improve this area of the city centre which we believe will be a real boost to the city”.
