A Stevenage shop specialising in motorcycle clothing and equipment has donated hundreds of pounds-worth of pre-owned motorcycle gear to Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT).

Bike Stop in Old Town, Stevenage, is giving customers the chance to trade in their Gore-Tex motorcycle clothing and enjoy 20% cashback when they buy new Gore-Tex apparel. The offer is open until the end of November.

All the gear collected by the shop is being donated to EHAAT, which has a Drop-Off Point on Gunnels Wood Road, Stevenage as well as a shop in the town’s indoor market.

Donna Lee, Head of Retail for the Charity, said, “We are really grateful to the team at Bike Stop for their support. The clothing they are giving is a really welcome donation.

“We have strong links with the motorcycle community. Over the years thousands of bikers have taken part in our Spring Motorcycle Run from Welwyn to our airbase at North Weald. We’re confident there will be no shortage of bikers keen to help their local life-saving service and snap up a bargain.”

Martin Brown of Bike Stop said, “The shop is all about safety, and where we can also offer a special deal to help people upgrade to the best and latest gear, that’s a bonus. If the items they trade in can then be donated to an amazing charity like Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, it’s a win-win!”
