Looking After Family Business

Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Longmores Solicitors, invite you to a breakfast seminar for family business owners.* 

We will discuss a broad range of issues affecting family owned and run businesses and look forward to hearing about some of the challenges you have faced.

Alan Yates, Chairman and Managing Director of Endoline Machinery Ltd

Alan started his career in the printing industry, working for a German owned multi-national.  At aged 32 Alan was a director of the British division, non-executive director of the French and Italian subsidiaries, and managing director of the USA brand based in Baltimore.  Eight years later he was approached by his father and brother who asked him to join the family business which manufactures packaging machinery.  Alan joined Endoline Machinery in 1990 as Operations Director, soon thereafter becoming Managing Director.

As Managing Director of Family Business Place, Amalia's role is to raise the profile of Britain's family businesses and the contribution they make to the UK economy. She ensures family businesses, both small and large, receive maximum exposure and publicity to help grow their brands.

 

Richard Gvero, 
Joint Senior Partner; Head of Commercial and Employment, Longmores

An Employment Law specialist, Richard advises commercial and private clients on a wide range of staffing issues and disputes, including business restructuring, redundancy, disciplinary issues, unfair dismissal and discrimination. His client portfolio includes most of the firm’s major clients, locally, nationally and internationally. He has specialist industry expertise in recruitment companies and the education sector. His employment team is ranked in The Legal 500 2019 guide and Richard is personally ranked in the UK Chambers & Partners 2019 guide.

Richard Horwood, 
Partner and Head of Private Client, Longmores

A specialist with broad experience in Inheritance Tax planning, the administration of Trusts and Estates, drafting of Wills and Powers of Attorney and structuring Trusts. Richard is a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Richard’s team is ranked in the UK Legal 500 2019 guide and he is personally recognised in the UK Chambers & Partners 2019 guide.

Agata Rumbelow, 
Senior Solicitor, Company & Commercial Department, Longmores
 
An expert in Company and Commercial law, Agata has considerable experience acting for owner-managed businesses. She specialises in shareholder advice, joint ventures, partnerships and limited liability partnerships, including share buybacks, company governance and administration.
