September Chamber Lunch

Join us on 19 September 2019 for our monthly networking lunch, being held at the Manor of Groves Hotel. These events provide a great opportunity for business networking with members and non-members alike. Each month we invite a guest speaker to inform and motivate you.

We are delighted to announce that our guest speakers for this event will be Claire Hamilton and Sam Terrell, of the Harlow & Gilston Garden Town Project.

The Harlow & Gilston Garden Town project provides one of the most exciting growth opportunities of any place in the UK. The project will result in the creation of exciting new communities in Harlow, will support the regeneration of the town centre, and will support a significant increase in job opportunities in the Town, which includes the arrival of Public Health England in their new, relocated, headquarters.

We will also be joined by Michael Nadasdy, Programme Manager – Cyber Crime, Hertfordshire County Council who will discuss the importance of being cyber aware.

Claire is the Director of the Harlow & Gilston Garden Town Project which is a one in a generation opportunity to build on the heritage of Harlow and deliver high quality housing and employment growth which will act as a catalyst for further regeneration. She is responsible for the delivery of 25,000 homes, an innovative sustainable transport corridor, other associated infrastructure and employment space across three District Councils and two County Councils.

Sam is the Principal Economic Growth Officer for the Harlow & Gilston Garden Town Project. Lying at the heart of the London Stansted Cambridge UK Innovation Corridor, the Garden Town has the ambition and capability to support significant economic growth in the region. Based on existing and planned industry, the Garden Town will deliver growth across a number of sectors such as Life Sciences; Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering; and ICT, Digital and Tech. Growth and investment is being spearheaded by the Harlow Enterprise Zone (at London Road and Templefields), the relocation of Public Health England to Harlow and the growth of Stansted Airport.
