The Enemy Within - Cyber Security Seminar

All businesses, from one-man companies to Global organisations, have similar problems: people, security, compliance with the law, protecting their assets and making a profit. Cyber Security encompasses all those aspects with a focus on security for your systems and data, education of your staff, customers and suppliers, and compliance with the new laws and regulations to avoid fines, loss of business and being hacked.

New laws being introduced will help focus minds to stop data being so easily obtained but people need to know what these requirements are, what can be done to protect systems, how to get rid of data securely and reduce threats.

This event, delivered in partnership with Cribb Cyber Security will offer advice, illustrated with some simple, practical measures you can take to ensure you keep your business secure.

Speakers at this event:

  • William Osborne - Business Development Director, CRIBB Cyber Security
William shall be discussing how micro-businesses and SME's can increase their cyber security and compliance in order to meet the minimum Government requirements following new law this year. Bill will also be aiming to increase awareness of the minimum certificate requirements and solutions available, in order to cover SME's cyber defences.

  • Phillipa Phipps - Cyber Protect Officer, Hertfordshire Constabulary
If you are a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) there’s a one in two chance that you’ll experience a cyber security breach; a breach that could put you out of business. Phillipa aims to examine these risks and offer advice on how to better defend your company.

  • Paul Trainor Divisional Director, James Hallam Insurance
Paul will present a broad outline of the areas in which Insurers can offer protection to businesses against the Cyber risks that they face. In addition, Paul will outline a few real cyber insurance claim scenarios that Insurers have dealt with and how those affected benefitted from having insurance cover against these risks.

Join us at this breakfast seminar and learn more about the cyber-threats that pose a risk to your business and how to ensure your business is secure. Use the opportunity to liaise directly with our expert speakers and network with other businesses in Hertfordshire who share the same issues and concerns.
