Women in Leadership

The aim of our Women in Leadership events is to enable you to network with peers and develop your leadership skills as well as provide mentoring, support and inspiration to the County's next generation of business leaders.

This month's Women in Leadership event will be held at the picturesque Theobalds Estate, Cheshunt.

The new Chief Executive of Hertfordshire Chamber, Briege Leahy, will be attending this event to introduce herself and share some of her journey.

With over 20 years experience in technology logistics across global industries including banking/retail, data centres, medical and telecoms corporates Briege brings a wealth of knowledge and business contacts to the Chamber.

For the last 7 years she has been the founder of the start-up business Luna Logistics Ltd, which was acquired in May 2019. This was both an exciting and challenging opportunity which galvanised her career in growing a successful enterprise, working with corporates such as NCR, Canon, Toshiba Medical, and Vonage. Managing and mentoring a young and dedicated team underpinned her hard work and dedication to ensure the enduring legacy of a thriving company.

Briege lives in Hertfordshire and is actively involved in the community being the Chair of the housing group for the Braughing Neighbourhood Plan and charities including the Red Cross open gardens.

We are also delighted to have Rebecca Mitchell, House of Colour as a speaker at this event.

Being ‘seen’ and ‘visible’ isn’t just important in building our own confidence, it also demonstrates the right behaviours needed for the next generation to get ahead in life too. Rebecca is passionate about helping people rediscover their identities and motivations, since she believes that it is vital to create visible role-models for their children and for colleagues to look-up to, so that they too might have the confidence to be themselves.

We all want to start every day the right way – looking good and feeling great about ourselves. It’s an empowering feeling that can lead us to success in everything that we do. By learning more about who you are and how you can translate it on the outside, you will feel empowered to achieve more and believe in yourself more than ever before.

From her dedicated studio in Harpenden, Rebecca runs friendly colour analysis, personal style and skincare/make-up classes to support both men and women to become ‘better versions of themselves’. She provides the practical advice and skills needed to reconnect with identity and to help people think differently about how they present themselves on the outside…so it reflects more of who they are on the inside. Through learning these techniques, Rebecca will help you become your own personal stylist!
