The Chamber recognises the importance of collaboration between and within industry sectors throughout the County. Just three of the many ways we bring organisations together are: 1. Industry Forums 2. Your Chamber 3. The Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards, find out below how you can benefit.

Industry Forums

We have leading edge capabilities right here in Hertfordshire.  To build a stronger future, we know we need to continue helping businesses and organisations to collaborate across industry sectors and their respective supply chains so that these combined capabilities can benefit the County's future economic growth which can be enjoyed by all.

To facilitate this collaboration between and within industry sectors the Chamber has established a number of forums, if you would like to know more about any of the industry forums listed below contact

  • Circular Economy and Sustainability Forum
  • Export Forum
  • Hotels Forum
  • HR Forum
  • Manufacturing Forum
  • Property & Construction Forum (run in conjunction with Constructing Excellence)
  • Women in Leadership

An understanding of the barriers facing business such as legislation, skills shortages and environmental issues is critical to the County's economic growth. The Chambers is focused on developing a collaborative approach within the business community to drive the county’s growth ambitions forward – harnessing the expertise and support of business support organisations, academia and local government. Each industry forum meets quarterly to explore and share issues and opportunities. Annual conferences are held for some forum sectors, for example in June we are holding the second annual Circular Economy Conference, you can find out more about the conference here.

Young Chamber & Your Future Career Fairs

The Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce recognises the need to work with schools, colleges and employers to develop the workforce of the future now. The employability of our young people is the key to their success and the County's growth. By providing collaboration opportunities between education providers and employers the Chamber is able to act as a conduit facilitating conversations and shared initiatives throughout Hertfordshire.

Young Chamber

The Young Chamber programme enables schools to reach local and national businesses, find out more about Young Chamber membership here.

Your Future Career Fairs

In the Autumn and Winter Terms during the 2015/2016 academic year a series of Your Future Career Fairs was held at a variety of venues - ranging from the Stevenage Leisure Centre to a number of Young Chamber member schools. The Chamber introduced hundreds of students to potential employers - representing Hertfordshire-based businesses as well as national organisations represented and employing Hertfordshire residents. The students were from a wide range of secondary schools from across Hertfordshire, you can read more about the Your Future Career Fairs here.

Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards

The Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards are now in their eighth year. Established in 2012 to recognise and celebrate local business success as well as the tenacity and entrepreneurial flair of individuals who are making a positive difference to the County's commercial landscape.

This year the Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards will be launched on Thursday 24th March at the Porsche Centre Hatfield, you'll find out more about the 2019 Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards here. You can book places for the 2019 Awards dinner when bookings open on 8th April 2019.
