A government initiative is offering construction firms free advice on how to minimise waste.

Envirowise, the government-funded programme to encourage competitiveness whilst complying with environmental legislation, has introduced its new construction FastTrack service.

With the costs of waste disposal increasing each year, the organisation is offering a free range of services to help building firms identify ways to reduce the amount of waste disposed of during the construction process.

By arranging a FastTrack visit, businesses receive a confidential, on-site waste review from experts who will help pinpoint ways to cut costs on raw material and disposal.
The experts are also versed in current environmental legislation and can offer tips for compliance. Free services available, in addition to the visit, include Envirowise publications, a telephone hotline and various events.

FastTrack visits are free and available to construction firms of any size.
