Ringway, working on behalf of Hertfordshire County Council, begins resurfacing work on the A10 Southbound only between Hoddesdon and Turnford on Friday 8 March.

The £30,000 scheme to repair the worn-out road surface between the Hoddesdon link road and Turnford link road will be undertaken between 10pm on Friday 8 March and 5am on Monday 11 March, under a full southbound road closure.

Signed alternative routes will be in place. Further details about the works, including road closure and diversion information, will be available on www.hertsdirect.org/roadworks

Stuart Pile, Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport, said: "Some degree of disruption and delay is to be expected as a result of these essential maintenance works. The work has to be carried out while the road is closed for the safety of our workers and all road users, so please allow extra time for any journeys you make while work is in progress."

The work is weather dependent and from time to time unforeseen circumstances can arise and work may continue outside the advertised hours. Any changes to the proposed start date, duration or working hours will be announced on the information boards on site and will be available at www.hertsdirect.org/roadworks
