A busy year lies ahead for Letchworth based partner Brian Purser of law firm Heckford Norton who is the new President of the Hertfordshire Law Society (HLS)

HLS is one of the largest and oldest local law societies in the country.  The role involves representing all solicitors in Hertfordshire on matters of concern to the profession and also on proposed legislation and statutory regulations which it is considered might adversely affect solicitors’ clients.  The Hertfordshire Law Society liaises closely with all other regional Law Societies in the east and south of England in the hope that the combined ‘clout’ of a number of Law Societies will have greater influence, both with the National Law Society and also central Government’.

A fair amount of wining and dining is also involved – not good for Brian’s ever expanding waistline!

Brian has been with Heckford Norton for well over thirty years and specialises in Commercial Property transactions.  Many of his clients have become good friends over the years. In his spare time Brian likes to travel the world with his wife Carole and has a bolthole in Devon to escape to when the demands of a busy practice will allow.
