The British Chambers of Commerce and The Employers Forum on Age have developed this quick fact sheet to assist businesses understand the new age discrimination laws.

On 1st October 2006, the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006 will come into effect. These regulations make it unlawful to discriminate in employment and vocational training on the grounds of age. These laws will protect people of all ages (not just older workers).
