- £500 on offer to help develop your exports!
You may have considered the myriad of opportunities in doing business overseas but may be unsure just where to begin… Often the key to export success is through finding and appointing an effective distributor or overseas business partner. Finding the right partner can be a time-consuming and costly exercise and communicating your plans for their market can be difficult, particularly if English is not spoken. The UK Government delivers a subsidised service through UK Trade & Investment called the Overseas Market Introduction Service (OMIS). The British Embassy in your target overseas market will work on your behalf to identify potential distributors, make contact with them in their language, explain your product or service in detail and provide you with accurate feedback on the level of interest in representing your company. This work is often carried out by sector specialists who are well connected in their market and can tap into networks that would otherwise be closed to your organisation. The real strength of this service is that contact is made by the British Embassy on your behalf by a market expert, with commercial experience. They are far more likely to connect with key decision makers. This service is available in major markets overseas, including USA, Japan, India, UAE and Europe through East of England International (EEI) who deliver UKTI Services in the East of England.Because we at the Hertfordshire Chamber are convinced of the value of this UKTI service, the Chamber has agreed to offer sponsorship of £500 in any market for one lucky member! To be considered for this Chamber sponsorship please forward to us…
